Pas de la Casa

Pas de la Casa is a cosy resort located in the eastern part of the largest microstate of Europe: Andorra. Partly due to the high elevation and the many snow cannons in this area, Pas de la Casa will have a lot of snow. Until late in the season you can enjoy beautiful sunny and snowy slopes, and in addition there is also a exuberant après-ski.

What makes Pas de la Casa particularly attractive is that everything is within walking distance. Snowboarders can also fully enjoy the half pipe and there is even a ski slope where you can ski in the evening.

Ibiza of the Pyrenees:

Due to the wide range of bars, nightclubs and restaurants, Pas de la Casa is also known as the Ibiza of the Pyrenees. Pas de la Casa features lively clubs and atmospheric bars on almost every street. The après-ski in Pas de la Casa speaks both to the young and old, and goes on until the wee hours.

Shop Paradise:

Besides beautiful slopes, an exuberant après-ski, Pas de la Casa is also a true shopping paradise. In Andorra, you can duty-free shop, especially for electronics, alcohol and tobacco, which are very cheap here. There are also many nice boutiques where you can buy beautiful winter clothing and ski equipment.

Tobotronc:

During a ski holiday in Pas de la Casa, there is more than just skiing. With other forms of winter here, you can create sensational snowmobile rides, enjoy extraordinary experiences on snowshoes, with skibikes down the incline or pulling through the valleys with sled dogs. Of course we can not forget the incredible Tobotronc on the longest slide in the world, where you can create a dizzying descent. This makes an extensive range of the Andorra white destination.

Grandvalira

Grandvalira is a real paradise for enthusiasts. There are peaks that reach above 2800 meters and have 210 kilometers of slopes. The ski resorts of Grau Roig and Soldeu are interconnected, making the Grandvalira area the largest ski area in Southern Europe. With 300 sunny days a year Grandvalira is also of the sunniest areas in Europe.

Beginners and children are fond of Canillo, where there is mostly peaceful, blue runs. El Tarter other hand, is a true paradise for the real cracks. After a few hours on the slopes will you still not be confident? Choose the wide slopes in Soldeu where you will have the space. This does not mean that this part of the ski area is only suitable for beginners, because some of the most extreme sections of Grandvalira are also found here. Grau Roig is the most unspoilt part of the ski area. The views are truly spectacular here. The slopes offer something for everyone, and for children there is a nice snow track in the woods. Pas de la Casa has a high altitude (almost as high as Val Thorens in the French Alps). With a wide variety of wide blue, red and black runs, you should not skip this section. Whether you are a novice or an advanced skier, you will sure find something in Grandvalira, judging by the quality of the snow and the wide, varied pistes! The experienced skiers can really enjoy themselves here. The lowest point of this area is actually not low, at about 1700 meters.

Is there more to do in Grandvalira something? Yes! A drink in a very special place is highly recommended: the Igloo Bar Grandvalira Pla de les Pedres at Grau Roig. Rent a dog sled, take a thrilling ride on a snowmobile or take a beautiful walk on snowshoes. Tubing, snow buggies, four fun parks and helicopter skiing, all of these activities are within your reach!

After a long day out in the snow, there is still plenty to do. There are several restaurants, bars and cafes in which to find the beautiful slopes directly. You can even enjoy tapas on the slopes in the Red Chill Out & Tapas Bar in El Tarter. On the lounge terrace, you can relax in a hammock and listen to the DJs.

Tourist tax must be paid in Andorra for winter 22/23. The total amount depends on the type of accommodation and its rating.

Traveling by car:
The national roads are passable. The highways in Andorra have tolls. In France, the majority of motorways have tolls. Andorra has no general duty to winter tires. However, on some routes snow chains or snowtires are required. This is indicated by signs. Information about the use of snow chains and snow tires can be obtained from the ANWB.

In a breakdown or accident, it is mandatory that all road users wear a reflective vest. The warning triangle should be placed no more than 1 metre from the edge of the road. Make sure the warning triangle is placed behind the vehicle that has broken down or behind the accident, it is also required that you put on your hazard lights.

Food and drink:
In Andorra there is something for everyone. There is a lot of fish eaten and both Spanish and French dishes are served here often.

Tipping:
Giving a tip of around 5% in bars and restaurants is common practice.

Hours:
The shops are open from 09:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday. On Sunday the shops are open until 19:00. Some shops are closed in the afternoon between 13:00 and 15:00. Stores in smaller towns close before the afternoon and are closed on Sundays .

Transfer

In the booking steps it is possible to book a transfer. If you book a transfer via Sunweb, it will be a shared transfer to and from the resort. Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

A Grandvalira ski pass is included in the tour price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. If a child and senior discount applies, this will be shown in step 2 (price overview). Would you like to know which ski pass is included in your travel time? View our FAQ here .

Ski passes for children up to 11 years old are free. Children from 12 to 17 years old will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem the ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of the ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further into the booking steps. The discount for “no ski pass” can also be found in the booking process.

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
