Kirchberg

Kirchberg has been popular with visitors for years now. There is always something going on and there is plenty to keep you entertained in the resort centre. If you are interested in experiencing some proper Austrian après-skiing, you might want to visit some of the well known après-ski bars like the Heidi & Peter bar, the Boomerang, the Eisbar, or Der Tiroler. There are of course plenty of other options in Kirchberg besides the many bars and pubs. You can do some great shopping in the lively shopping streets of Kitzbühel for example, or take a romantic sleigh ride through the forest, try your luck in the casino, or go luging after dark on the flood-lit sleighing track. Hikers can look forward to 28 miles of hiking trails in the area. You can also swim, play squash, tennis or keep up your fitness training schedule in Kirchberg’s sports centre!

  • Great après-ski
  • Well organised ski bus network

Kirchberg is joined with Kitzbühel, Jochberg, Mittersil and Pass Thurn to make one large ski area: Kirchberg/Kitzbühel. In this area every skier/snowboarder can enjoy acres of amazing terrain. The are about 168 kilometers of prepared slopes. On the Kitzbüheler Horn you can find a funpark for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. If you take the gondola, that connects the ski areas of Kirchberg and Pass Thurn, you can enjoy long, beautiful and ski tours and make it back at the end of the day without the need for a bus. Furthermore 3 chairlifts link Jochberg to Pass Thurn. You can also choose to extend your skipass to one that gives access to the full area of 704 kilometers. This is the Kitzbüheler Alpen skipass.
