The stylish Hotel Zur Tenne is an oasis of peace and quiet with Tyrolean hospitality. Also the cable car and walking trails are within walking distance. The rooms and suite are decorated in the style of an old Tyrolean country house.

In the Hotel Zur Tenne’s  small, but extremely beautiful, spa you can revive yourself and relax after an energetic day, in the hot tub, sauna or the herbal steam bath. Every evening you can enjoy both regional and international dishes in the cosy restaurant. The restaurant has an open fire, a winter garden and a traditionally decorated hunting hall.

Kitzbühel

Skiing in the cosmopolitan town of Kitzbühel, Austria is considered by many to be a luxury. With the many shops, restaurants and cafes and a lively nightlife, you will never get bored on a Kitzbühel ski holiday. Party until the early morning in the popular Club Take Five, take a chance in the casino or enjoy the quaintness of the Alpine Igloo Village; where you can shop, make ice sculptures or, for the daring romantics, get married. If you are looking to do something away from the slopes, with a pass of more than two days, you get free access to the Aquarena swimming pool. The historic centre is a sight to behold with many picturesque houses, churches and marketplaces – despite its international market, the city has retained its Tyrolean atmosphere.

From Kitzbühel, you can catch the ski lifts to the Hahnenkamm which is the starting point for all Kitzbühel ski holidays. With a range of slope difficulties, the Kitzbühel Horn which is ideal for snowboarders and a number of trails running partly through the woods and the Wilder Kaiser ski area perfect for cross country skiers – skiing in Kitzbühel offers something for everyone.

Kirchberg/Kitzbühel

Kirchberg is joined with Kitzbühel, Jochberg, Mittersil and Pass Thurn to make one large ski area: Kirchberg/Kitzbühel. In this area every skier/snowboarder can enjoy acres of amazing terrain. The are about 168 kilometers of prepared slopes. On the Kitzbüheler Horn you can find a funpark for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. If you take the gondola, that connects the ski areas of Kirchberg and Pass Thurn, you can enjoy long, beautiful and ski tours and make it back at the end of the day without the need for a bus. Furthermore 3 chairlifts link Jochberg to Pass Thurn. You can also choose to extend your skipass to one that gives access to the full area of 704 kilometers. This is the Kitzbüheler Alpen skipass.

Opening times shops:

Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.

Travelling by car:

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Voltage:

The voltage is 230 volt.

UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.

You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

A Kirchberg/Kitzbühel/Pass Thurn ski pass is included in the tour price.

Discounts 2023/2024:

Ski passes for children born after 1/1/2018 are free. Children born between 1/1/2005 - 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
