Location and surroundings

Lienz

Lienz is a picturesque Tyrolean town with a beautiful old center. It is located at the foot of the Lienz Dolomites, close to the Italian border. Lienz is also the city with the most hours of sunshine in Austria, with an average of just over 200 hours of sunshine in January! More than 100 kilometers of cross-country trails and cleared trails are also offered for non-skiers. Besides skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and hiking, you can also go tobogganing, curling, paragliding and visit the rink. In the old town with many shops, a cinema, restaurants, Konditoreien, Landshut and bars you will find a great nightlife.

Lienzer Dolomites

The Lienzer Dolomites consists of two resorts, both with great snow records, with plenty of snow regularly from the beginning of December to the beginning of April. The Zetterfeld is the larger of the two with approximately 30 km (19 ml) of pistes. This resort is very suitable for the novice skier, but there are also plenty of more challenging options for experienced skiers and snowboarders.

The Hochstein is the second resort of the Lienzer Dolomites. This fun and challenging area will suit the experienced skier and snowboarder perfectly. The longer valley descents are very highly recommended! The great advantage of this resort is that there are practically no queues for the lifts.
