Rauris

Rauris is a small cosy skiing village. The majority of the hotels are on the main street that runs through the centre of the village. This street is approximately one kilometre long. There is a ski bus that stops at various points close to the hotels and pensions. The bus rides to a timetable. You will be dropped off at one of the two ski lifts that leave from the village.

The skiing area of Rauris is particularly suited for beginners and small children. The Hochalmbaan is really super. The gondola lift takes you to an altitude of 1800 metres to a wonderful, broad blue piste. There is also a red or black piste for the more experienced skiers. All of the pistes are perfectly prepared on a daily basis. In short, it is a really cosy skiing area for families.

Map

Raurisertal

The beautiful skiing area of Rauris, is varied, modern and particularly very suitable for families. There is an amazing view from the top of the skiing area of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. The skiing area is extremely well organised and there are sufficient simple descents. The number of descents for the experienced skier are limited but there are a number of fantastic routes for those who like to ski off piste. There are a number of practice slopes and ski schools for beginners with a specially equipped kinderland with travelators. Due to its large selection of blue and red pistes, the many facilities for children and the beautiful walking routes, Rauris is very popular with children.
