Ski holiday Ischgl

Skiing in Ischgl – Relax.. If you can…

This is the motto that Ischgl carries out. There are plenty of fantastic opportunities and this town strives to keep its promise regarding its motto. When you choose to spend your ski holiday in Ischgl, you will only find the best of the best. Perfectly prepared slopes, off-piste skiing, the largest interconnected freestyle area at the Ischgl Snow park and plenty of snow! This ski area boasts a good 238 kilometres of well prepared slopes, serviced by no less than 45 lifts, which makes this a mecca for skiers and snowboarders. The Silvretta Ski  Area is connected to Samnaun in Switzerland and with 90% of the ski region located above 2000 metres, it ensures a long and snow sure season. The Idalp is the heart of the ski area with many fun slopes for both novice and experienced skier and snowboarder. For the more experienced skiers who would like to challenge themselves, there are plenty of red and black slopes in the rest of the ski area. Your lift pass is your key to this well groomed ski area with impeccable lift services. This is what makes Ischgl not only one of the most beautiful and comfortable ski areas, but also one of the most interesting ski resorts in Austria. One of the latest innovations that was made in this area was the Filmjochbahn, one of few 8-seater chairlifts in the region. The Filmjochbahn gives you access to the Ischgl-Samnaun run, which can be done in 3 different levels: Gold, silver and bronze. The dare-devils can even win something if they ski all the way down to Ischgl.

The Place to Be! – The Ibiza of the Alps

The chic and popular Ischgl is often called the “Ibiza of the Alps”. This is not without reason because when you go on ski holiday to Ischgl, it is not only for the pristine slopes, but also for the hospitable and fun atmosphere that this town exudes. Those who love après-ski, will know that trendy bars such as Kuhstall, Schatzi and Niki’s Stadl are among the most popular in the village. Ischgl also hosts the annual Top of the Mountains festival, where world famous singers come to join the party on stage. In recent years Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Elton John were among the artists that kicked off this festival. Besides the many après-ski facilities this town has to offer, there are also plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. In addition, there are plenty of other activities for a complete winter sports there. Think of the seemingly endless toboggan into the middle of the village or a torch-lit ski show.
