Hotel Panorama is in an ideal location; right in the centre of Finkenberg just 100 meters from the Alm lift. It is also only 100m away from the centre of Finkenberg. You will also find all the après-ski bars here. The rooms are simple but nicely decorated and the hotel has a lovely restaurant. Finkenberg

Finkenberg is situated on the border between the Zillertal and the narrow and rough Tuxertal. Ski holidays in Finkenberg attract guests throughout the year and are one of the most popular holiday destinations within the region. Skiing in Finkenberg takes place 840m above sea level and only 4km down the road from Mayrhofen. There is a free ski bus that will take you directly to the mountain railway. There is also a free bus line that runs through the entire Tuxertal valley, from Finkenberg to Hintertux. For those who want a change from a quiet night when on a ski holiday in Finkenberg, you can easily hop on the direct bus to Mayrhofen, which runs until 2.30AM.

From this destination you have the opportunity to explore the Ski Zillertal 3000 area. The Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area offers approximately 230km of slopes and is part of the bigger Zillertal ski region, which has over 650km of prepared pistes. Skiing in Finkenberg is a true paradise for all levels of experience with its highest point at 3250m. It is interconnected through the ski lifts and gondolas with Mayrhofen, Hippach, Ramsau and the Ski Zillertal 3000, including the Hintertux Glacier. For those looking to go cross-country skiing in Finkenberg then there are approximately 75km of cross-country tracks to explore.

Ski holidays in Ski Zillertal 3000 provide some of the most modern cable cars and lifts which travel across over 225km of pistes. With options for all levels, including the Hintertux Glacier, snowboarding and skiing in Ski Zillertal 3000 is a resort for everyone to consider.

Ski holidays in Ski Zillertal 3000 are possible as this unique region has been created thanks to the lift connection between Mayrhofen and Tux further up the valley. A 150-person cable-car links the two areas of Horberg/Gerent/Penken and Rastkogel/Eggalm.

Skiing in Ski Zillertal 3000 is made easier due to the excellent transport links to take you across the vast region. The resorts of Penken and Horberg are connected with each other by a small ski train and these areas are connected to the Tux ski resort by a cable car making travelling from area to area stress-free. The Hintertuxer glacier, with its almost always snow covered pistes, together with the even expanding arsenal of snow cannons provides the resort with an excellent snow record.

Between the resort stations of the ski lifts in Mayrhofen, Hippach and Finkenberg ski buses ride back and forth and can be used for free if you have a lift pass. When skiing in Ski Zillertal 3000, with your Zillertal lift pass you can also ski in Gerlos, Fügen and on the glacier.

If that’s not enough, the cross country tracks in Mayrhofen are lit up in the evening and you can go wild in one of the best snow parks when snowboarding and skiing in Ski Zillertal 3000, Burton Park in Mayrhofen. In short, this area really does offer everything you look for and more in a ski holiday.

The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

You can see the surcharges and discounts for, for example, extending your lift pass or no lift pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. Discounts 2023/2024:

Ski passes for children born after 1/1/2018 are free. Children born between 1/1/2005 - 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

Bronze

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.

TIP:
 Tell our rental partner your exact requirements (e.g., off-piste skiing) so that they can help you select the right equipment.
NOTE:
 A helmet is only included in this package for children up to 11 years old. If you are older, you can choose to bring your own, or rent one locally if available.

When selecting ski equipment, height is considered, not age. For a person taller than 130cm, always choose ski equipment for adults. For someone with a height between 100 - 130 cm, always choose junior equipment.

You cannot book lessons in advance. You can arrange this yourself onsite.
