Hotel Schrofenblick

Just outside the centre of Mayhofen, in a beautiful quiet spot, you will find the charming Hotel Schrofenblick. Everything about this hotel is quaint and it exudes authenticity: from the rustic building built in Tiroler style to the "stube"and the restaurant. All rooms and apartments in this hotel have been fited with modern furniture, however, the original atmosphere has been kept alive. Confort is important at Hotel Schrofenblick, which will become clear after a day on the slopes, setting yourself down on the comfortable beds with fluffy duvets and crisp linen. You can either choose to stay in one of the hotel rooms or choose to stay in one of the completely renovated apartments. All room types and apartments have a "Tiroler" feel to them and they all have a balcony or patio from which you can enjoy the scenery.  After all the excersice outdoors, enjoy an apres-ski drink in the cozy bar downstairs. Pamper your weary muscles to a turkish steam bath or in one of the saunas. The restaurant of the hotel has been popular in the area, for years; not only with hotel guests but also with people that live in the nearby towns and in Mayrhofen itself. The ski area Ski Zillertal 3000 is in Zillertal

The region of Ski Zillertal 3000 offers some of the latest cable cars and lifts and more then 225 km of pistes! With options for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, including the Hintertux Galcier, this is definitely a resort to consider!
Ski Zillertal 3000 has been created thanks to the lift connection between Mayrhofen and Tux, further up the valley. A 150-person cable-car links the two areas of Horberg/Gerent/Penken and Rastkogel/Eggalm.

The resorts of Penken and Horberg are connected with each other by a small ski train and these areas are in turn connected to the Tux ski resort by a cable car. The Hintertuxer glacier, with its constantly snow covered pistes, together with the ever expanding arsenal of snow cannons at various heights provides the resort with a good snow record.
Between the resort stations of the ski lifts in Mayrhofen, Hippach and Finkenberg ski buses ride back and forth and can be used for free if you have a lift pass. With your Zillertal lift pass you can also ski in Gerlos, Fügen and on the glacier.
The cross country tracks in Mayrhofen are lit up in the evening. Snowboarders can go wild in one of the best snow parks in the Zillertal, Burton Park in Mayrhofen! In short this area really does offer everything you look for in a ski holiday!

The Zillertal stretches through the heart of Tirol. The valley is home to numerous well known ski resorts like Kaltenbach, Stumm, Mayrhofen, Ramsau/Hippach, Fügen, Hochfügen, Gerlos, Aschau, Wald/Königsleiten and Zell am Ziller. With its idyllic little farms and villages the Zillertal exhibits a beautiful part of Austria. Ski buses run regular services between the different villages. You can also use the free train between Jenbach and Mayrhofen. In the case of bad snow conditions the Hintertux Glacier provides a 100% snow guarantee.

In total, the Zillertal has approximately 624 km (388 ml) of pistes. You even have the opportunity to ski right into the centre of Gerlos! You begin at the top of the Isskogelbahn and via the new Rösslalm you will arrive in the centre of Gerlos. The various snow canons give nature a helping hand whenever it might be needed. If there is enough snow down in the valley this provides cross country skiers with unlimited options too.
