Ellmau is a lively winter resort located at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. There are plenty of excellent pistes as well as fine après ski options in the many bars in Ellmau. If you want to stay active off the pistes you can always head to the sports centre. Here you will find an indoor swimming pool, a heated outdoor pool, slides, various saunas and a beauty parlour. You can also test your ice skating skills in Elmau´s ice rink, hike on some of the 50 kilometers of hiking trails, experience the thrill of racing down an flood-lit sleighing track at night or venture into the snow tubing arena. There are also plenty of very good restaurants in Ellmau as well. There is a beautiful restaurant at the top of the Hartkaiserbahn where you can enjoy a meal and the stupendous panoramic views over the vast Wilder Kaiser region.

Map

Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers some excellent options for both cross country and regular skiers. The villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Söll, Hopfgarten, Brixen im Thale and Westendorf share approximately 279 km (173 ml) of pistes to form the biggest interconnected ski area in Austria. Additionally, due to there being so many lifts in the area you are unlikely to encounter long queues.

You do not have to worry about the quality of the snow here either. In order to salvage the weaker areas outside of the winter season modern snow canons have been installed. The lift pass is included for the entire ski area of the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

A Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski pass is included in the tour price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. If a child or senior discount applies, this will be shown in step 2 (price overview). Would you like to know which ski pass is included in your travel time? View our FAQ here .

Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2018 are free. Children born between 01/01/2005 - 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting your ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
