The lively town of Zell am See by the Zeller See is the sporting and cultural meeting point of the region. The ski lifts depart straight from the centre of Zell am See. Cross country skiers can enjoy the 58 kilometers of tracks in the valley and from here on to the interconnected Pinzga tracks, which are approximately 200 kilometers long. There are also cleared walking paths in the valley as well as on the mountain for hiking enthusiasts.
The neighbourhood of Schüttdorf is located approximately 2 kilometers from the old city centre and has a new shopping centre, a parking garage, a bakery and great après-skiing in the Sunrise nightclub. This is also the largest nightclub in the region! In the narrow streets and on the square of the car free centre you will find numerous shops, nice bars, bakeries and nightclubs, often with live music. A few terraces in Zell am See also have views of the lake. On top of the “Schmitten" you can meet other people as visitors get together in one of the cosy mountain huts.
There is also a tennis court, an indoor swimming pool with fitness facilities, a sauna and a massage centre and even an ice hockey stadium. If you want to try something different you could try a sleigh tour or go horse riding on Icelandic horses?
