Ski holiday Chamonix

Chamonix is a charming old village at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc. It is a fairly large  town with a quite a history. For example, in 1924 it was home to  the first Winter Olympics. Nowadays Chamonix consists of upmarket hotels from the early days and more modern complexes to cater to the current demand. There are plenty of activities other than skiing in this region, such as ice climbing. For those who fancy something less edgy, there are several nice shops, lively bars and  good restaurants to fill your evenings.
