The apartments here are simple, yet perfect for those looking for an accommodation on a budget. In the morning there is no need to queue at the bakery, as the accommodation has its own bread ordering service, so there will be fresh croissants and baguettes waiting for you in the morning.
Due to the high number of students that book here, it is not suitable for young families that prefer peace and quiet.

For a surcharge of €24pp per night you can book half board. If you stay at Résidence Les Olympiades over Christmas, a one-off € 15pp extra will be charged. If you stay at Résidence Les Olympiades over New Year's Eve, a one-off €35pp extra will be added. Paying for the Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner are mandatory if you opt for half-board during this period.
For children from 4 to 11 years there are reduced rates of €14pp per night. For the Christmas dinner a one-off €7.50pp extra will be charged and for the New Year’s Ever there is a one-off €17.50pp extra charge.
Half board comprises of a breakfast buffet and a 3-course dinner and is served at Restaurant La Grange, which is approximately 850m away.

From here there are many lifts that will take you to even higher pistes. Val Thorens is part of the bigger ski region of Les Trois Valées. Les Trois Vallées is one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the world and has approximately 600 km of pistes.
Val Thorens is without a doubt one of the most unique ski destinations in France. Since it is one of the highest ski villages in Europe, it explains its popularity with visitors over the years. The ski area of Val Thorens consists of approximately 140 km pistes. The lowest of altitude of this individual ski area is 1300 meters and highest point is 3200 meters. The high altitude and the glacier make skiing in Val Thorens perfect throughout the whole season and makes it one of the most snow sure destinations as well.
When choosing to stay and ski in Val Thorens, there are options for everyone! Accommodations wise there are cheap accommodations for the budget traveller. However, there are also luxurious and lush chalets and hotels for those who prefer more comfort or even want to pamper themselves in a wellness centre. As for lift passes, there are different options as well. You can either choose a lift pass for the individual area of Val Thorens, or you can choose to upgrade your lift pass to the whole region of the Three Valleys. For the less advanced skiers and snowboarders a pass for an individual resort should suffice. If the lift pass for Val Thorens is not enough and you are an avid skier / snowboarder, we recommend the lift pass for the whole region. This way you will be able to make tours and discover different areas of the whole region per day. We advise you to decide which pass suits you best, in your home country, as you pay considerably more on location. (Please note: in low season, it is not possible to buy lift passes for the whole region of Les Trois Vallées).

The powder snow paradise of Les Trois Vallées is located in the Savoie. Val Thorens is the highest French ski village here. The village centre of Val Thorens is located at an altitude of 2300 meters (7,600 ft)! From here many lifts depart for even higher pistes. Les Trois Vallées is one of the largest interconnected ski resorts in the world. With 180 lifts and 600 km (373 ml) of prepared pistes, a true journey of discovery awaits you!
For snowboarders there is a snow park, a half pipe and a boarder cross. There are also unlimited off-piste options for free riders. Cross country skiers can make their hearts beat faster in the lower areas of Méribel, La Tania and Les Menuires.

Val Thorens is the highest French village, with the village core at 2300 meters altitude and has approximately 140 km of runs and approximately 29 ski lifts. From here many lifts start and bring you to even higher slopes. If you stay in Val Thorens, you can choose from two different ski passes. One for Val Thorens and one for the entire ski resort of Les Trois Vallées. For those who are not so advanced, a lift pass for just Val Thorens should be sufficient. For the avid skiers and those who like to make long trips we recommend a lift pass for the entire Trois Vallées area. We advise you to select your lift pass when making the booking, since you have to pay much more for lift pass once you are in Val Thorens. The high altitude and presence of a glacier will allow skiers and snow boarders to ski throughout the whole season. (Please note: The glacier may be closed if there is sufficient snow on the slopes and in the village)
The Les Menuires ski resort has a total of 160 kilometers of slopes, which can be reached via 51 lifts. Due to the easy accessibility, waiting times are relatively short. Since the new gondola lift between Les Menuires and St. Martin de Belleville has been opened, the connection between these areas has become even better. This is a wonderful place for skiers and snow boarders with the experience level of a beginner or intermediate, since the slopes are not that difficult to manage.
The Méribel ski resort has 150 kilometers of slopes and modern gondola lifts. The area consists of two connected parts, Méribel and Méribel-Mottaret. For the avid skiers, there are two Olympic downhill runs and an official slalom downhill run. Snowboarders have not been forgotten in this ski area since there is a half-pipe and a board- cross for the dare devils.
The varying area consists of small and large cozy villages and many wide slopes. Courchevel has a total of 150km of runs and approximately 45 lifts. When you are on the slopes you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The snowy mountain caps and the forest make this a wonderful and magical destination. Courchevel has the largest cabin lift in the whole of the French Alps and can hold 160 people. From Courchevel, you can easily get to the other ski areas that are interconnected with it.
